Collection: Pause

“Pause” the collection, stems from a deeply personal journey of navigating anxiety and rediscovering creative inspiration. During a challenging period marked by a creative block, I needed to pause and reconnect with my surroundings. It was through hours of exploring, walking, and meditating in nature that I found the muse for this series. 

The collection features mixed media oil paintings on canvas, rendered in earthy and neutral tones, and depicts native Australian birds, botanicals, and insects. The birds within the scenes symbolize our journeys, navigating through serene landscapes and teaching us to be mindful and present. 

My hope is that “Pause” encourages viewers to find moments of stillness and reflection. In a world that often rushes past, these paintings remind us to slow down and appreciate the intricate beauty of our natural environment. I hope to inspire others to embrace the moments of pause, find peace, and reconnect with the world around them.
